1. | Q: When do tickets go on sale? |
A:Tickets of the Opera House are available two months before eg. tickets for January are being sold from the first office day of November. On-line and box office sale start at the same time. As for other institutions / events, the opening date of the sale varies extensively.
2. | Q: I wonder if my transaction has been successful. How can I verify? |
A: If you are a registered customer you can check 'Personal data / My purchases' menu once you have logged in. Both successful transactions and those rejected by the card issuer bank are listed.
3. | Q: I could not print the voucher. How can I get the tickets? |
A: Log in and go to 'Personal data / My purchases' menu and reprint the voucher using your customer ID and password.
4. | Q: When can I collect my tickets? |
A: Self-print tickets (normally we sell this type of tickets for exhibitions) can be printed out right after the purchase is completed. (You can print them out later on as well from menu 'Personal data / My purchases', once you have logged in.) If you do not have a printer you need to note down the code below the bar code precisely. As for self-print tickets of the Opera House, you are kindly asked to print them and take them with you to the performance otherwise you can not be granted access. Tickets purchased on-line can be collected any time in the box office of the theatre (in open hours). It is recommended to arrive not later than 30 minutes before the beginning of the performance.
5. | Q: Can I buy tickets with a Maestro card? |
A:Yes, but only if it is issued by Hungarian bank OTP. Maestro cards issued by other banks are not suitable for online payment because other banks do not allow the so called "card not present" payment transactions.
6. | Q: Can I complete the transaction with a Visa Electron card? |
A: Whether or not you can use a Visa Electron card for online payment depends on the card issuer bank. Please enquire at your bank.
7. | Q: Can I pay for the tickets when they are delivered or on the spot in the box office? |
A: Payment can be effectuated only by credit card.
8. | Q: Can I order tickets in e-mail or fax by providing the details of my credit card? |
A: We cannot accept reservations. Tickets can be purchased on-line. Furthermore, we strongly recommend you not to give the details of your credit card to anyone neither in e-mail nor in fax. It might lead to serious abuse.
9. | Q: I cannot find the 3-digit CVC2 code or UCAF code on my credit card. |
A: EC/MC cards have a CVC2 security code on their signature bar. If you cannot find the 3-digit code then your card probably does not have one and you can leave the field empty. UCAF is a special security code for EC/MC cards provided by the issuer bank. If you have not received one just leave the field empty.
10. | Q: I do not manage to put the tickets in the shopping basket. The basket remains empty or I get an error message. |
A: Your internet explorer software does not enable cookies. You have to modify the settings of the software. On the menu bar select Tools / Internet options / Privacy. Select one of the following levels "Medium high", "Medium" or "Low". If you opt for a higher level you will not manage to buy tickets on our site.
11. | Q: If I exchange my ticket to a lower price category ticket will I be refunded the difference? |
A: You can exchange only self-print tickets. Exchanging a higher price category ticket for a lower one (eg. weekend exhibition ticket for workday exhibition ticket or more expensive opera tickets to less expensive ones) will result in the loss of the price difference. In case you exchange a lower price category ticket to a higher one you will be directed to the bank payment page to pay the difference with credit card. The above option is not available any more once you have used the ticket or exchanged it or once the deadline for exchange has expired. The deadline: for exhibition tickets it is the starting time of the time slot of the original ticket, for opera tickets it is 10 calendar days preceding the performance you have originally purchased your ticket for.
12. | Q: My ticket is valid for a certain time slot. How long can I stay at the exhibition? |
A: Exhibitions are structured in time slots. Please note that the owner of the ticket can enter the museum at any time during the chosen time slot and can stay there as long as he/she wishes, up until closing time. The beginning and ending of a time slot thus indicates the chosen time of entry and not its duration.
13. | Q: Is it possible to change the time and date I have originally purchased the ticket for? |
A: Self-print tickets can be exchanged (only if the event organiser has consented to it formerly). To complete this log in and go to the menu Personal data / My purchases and then select the Details of the purchase and finally click on Exchange tickets. You can modify the ticket only once, within the given deadline (i.e. for exhibition tickets it is the starting time of the time slot of the original ticket) to such a time slot/performance where there are available tickets. |
